A fun coin day.............

First my day started off with a customer of mine. I work for Empire carpet, and we got to talking about hobbies. He had all kinds of antique fishing reels and poles. I told him I collected coins. He said "REALLY!!" I thought to myself great, what have I started.

So then he goes on to tell me that his deceased father in law used to run a vending machine business and hot dog stands way back when. After he passed his collection went to them and they have no interest or ideas. His Mother in law used to collect silver dimes also. He asked me if I would be interested in telling him about them at all, or possibly buying them, or if not helping him to sell them.

I jumped at the chance, he produced a few crusty Morgans to start with, just to make sure they were at least worth looking at all of it. He said they have a few cans and jars full. I told him to round it all up, and I would be happy to sit with him and his wife some night to try and decide what to do.

So that was good, then I thought I might as well go and get some material for my Dansco 7070.

Here it is.

Lastly you will see 6 George Washington dollars in the pic, they are all smoothies from a forum member. they will be going in for grading to PCGS real soon.

So all in all it was a fun coin day for me. I hope it was for you also.

I need to start running into people who need appraisals on dead relative coin collections...
