Well, about 78 weeks, I guess. I turned in my redemption on 9/24/2005.
It's not really a card I'm dying to have, a 2005 spx Heath Miller auto jersey. Card still has a high beckett value of $60 (which means nothing but upper deck uses it for swapping for something else), but it was a hot commodity at the end of '05 when the Steelers were on the way to being SB champs and Miller was a key part. It would've brought $60 had I had it in January of '06.
I sent an email to Upper Deck with a link the the news article, and let them know after a year and a half, I was done buying their product and thought their customer service was terrible. Ironically, I finally gave up on the card and agreed to a replacement, but that was three months ago, and still nothing has arrived. I guess they think I'll forget about it, which I usually do until a thread comes up talking about redemptions. Then I remember I still have one out there.
After this much time, if I ever did get a card, I'd be thrilled. But I'm certainly not expecting it.
I'll wait until I hear from Upper Deck after the email today before I email the newspaper and stir any trouble.
Maybe their waiting for a cheap one to pop up on ebay and....
Sorry to hear your misfortune. I was thinking of looking for cheap redemptions of Dodgers to get but now Im a bit skeptical.
Once I had a Cal Ripken Jr #/50 back when /50 was rare and it was out of the pack creased almost in half. I called customer service and they said they will send me a replacement. Well I received 3 packs of cards. Not "normal" packs but those .99 ones. That card wasnt even from those packs. The product was only a month old as well. blah.
