I posted this a while back, figure I'd throw it out there again.


Take a butter knife to the place at the top of the holder where the top half meets the bottom half.

I use a scroll saw on top and one side. Pry it open with screw driver (not too much or the whole thing explodes (BGS do this quite a bit)) ...carefully slide the card out. If I'm paranoid about damaging I'll scroll saw off three sides, then the case folds open fairly easy.

I have a friend who uses a table saw and I heard on here of someone who uses ceramic tile pinchers.

Best to try it on a card you don't mind damaging first. Buy some cheap $2 PSA 6 modern card and practice.

About 3 years ago I busted about 80 BGS to crossover and they really open nicely but I'm not kidding about the whole works exploding if you pry them a little too far.

i use a dremel with a cut-off wheel to remove one or two of the corners. then pry around with a flat edge. works well, i havent damaged a card yet. one crossed from a bgs 9.5 to a PSA 10!
