It just occured to me that March is almost over and the Free Quarterly Submission will expire the end of this month !
I looked over my Liberty Head Nickels while at the bank the other day, and pulled a nice AU 58 - 1885 - raw - and the 1912- S - also raw - out of the Eagle Album.
This morning, I throughly examined both - and the 1885 has hairlines which when I bought it 13 years ago - I thought they were circulation handling marks. Not so. Light cleaning lines.
Anyhow, I'm submitting a choice AU 55 1912-S which looks like it will holder.
Off to the Post Office in a few minutes. Lets see how long the package will arrive at PCGS and how long it'll
get entered into their system and returned to me.
I doubt I'll see the coin again for a month - at least.
Wish me luck ! [ sorry no images - I'll scan the coin into my set once I receive it back ]

Once you're a member, then you can send in a specified coin once a quarter (every 3 months), Quarterly info here.
Oh, good luck MFH!
<< <i>Isn't it cheaper just to include the coin on another order for $16.00 ??? Rather than pay $11.90 S+h and $5 invoice fee. >>
You don't pay the $5.00 fee for free submissions.

I joined at the platinum level late last April, but I never heard anything about this benefit of membership until this thread.
Tomorrow I'll send off a nickel 3-cent piece just for kicks.
Filing Ins. claim Monday.
1885..fr2, shot at ag3
Entered 3/8/07 and shipped 3/14/07
Cracked this nice reverse target toned 1883 NC Lib Nickel out of a ICG MS64 holder and it crossed at the same grade, very pleased!!!
It looks very nice next to my reverse target toned 1912-S Lib Nickel in PCGS MS64 - see my sig line below.
What do you think of it?

Order received: 04/03/07
Status: OK
Grade are available: 04/04/07
Coin shipped: 04/04/07
Coin arrived: 04/10/07
Now, that's fast service !!!
Too bad the coin's being returned in a BB...
The coin's back in its original Eagle holder with the
BB Tag on its back.
Cleaning is the reason given for the BB.
I bought this and quite a few V nickels back in 1994, when
I first got back into collecting, from L&C Coins in California;
I actually thought that the lines -although there are very few of them -
were circulation marks.
Live and learn ...
