Hartzog is the name I think of when exonumia comes to mind.

Here is his "for sale" link.

I have never seen any US military canteen tokens, though I am sure they exist. I've heard of sutler tokens from the Civil War, of course. And I believe I have seen some British canteen tokens from WW1.

Speaking of WW1, I just picked up a US soldier dogtag that was custom made by hand-engraving a French silver 2-franc coin. Paid pretty strong money for it, so I am wondering if I will ever get my money back out of it. If anybody is interested in such an item, shoot me a PM and I will try to scan it. I thought it was cool.

Thanks LordM.. searching through the site link by link. haven't found what i'm looking for yet.
looks to be an obscure facet of the hobby. still looking for any dealers of post/canteen tokens in their inventory.

i'd love to see that. probably what they call trench art. there's a pretty good following for that stuff. i like to look.

You might try Paul Cunningham. He wrote a book on US Military tokens so he might have some in stock. He doesn't seem to have any on his website but he has a lot more in stock than what he lists.
