There is a board member that has a registry set of Bingles, but I forget who it was.

A couple of months ago there was an original UNC. complete set of Bingles offered on EBAY for $800, I wished I had the money to buy it then.

I do own these though. These are not the originals but are the commemoratives that were struck in 1985 for the 50th anniversary of the colony. I read somewhere that someone found the original dies and they were used for the restrikes, except these were struck with a different reverse design. The originals have the same design on both sides.

also, a complete set sold in September, 2006 on Heritage for around $725.

I'm amazed at how inexpensive they are, considering many of them have a mintage of 1,000, most of which were destroyed.

It amazes me too but is there really a large demand for them, though?

These were added to the Redbook in recent years.

    I've never seen one.

No, wait... I think maybe I saw one... once.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
