I couldn't pass this one up when I saw it. THe color is great and is one of the few circ bust halves I have found with most of the neck feathers visible.
Sorry about the scuffs on the picture. The slab was very beat up when I got this coin, in fact almost every slab in the dealers inventory was beat up. one of my pet peaves are mishandled slabs, really can interfere with the veiwing of nice coins.
guess the grade and overton if you like

    Say Fishteeth.

Nice going. The 1807 is under appreciated since it does not have any rare varieties in it excepting the O-101, so a lot of collectors are collecting 06's because there are some rarities in that year. The 07's are a good buy now. Somewhere down the line 07's will come into their own and those that bought now will be happy.

Edited: There was a new discover in 2004 combining obverse 12 with reverse B. Now called the O-115. Thank you Baley for the wake up call.

I'm getting a little gun shy on guessing grades but it does look like the O-102.

On the scuffy plastic I bought what is called Janvil 3 step plastic scratch remover. It really works great and can make a scuffy plastic slab look like new.

    Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking coin fishteeth, interesting reverse

Actually, there is one variety of 1807 draped bust half dollar more rare than the O-101. the O-115, discovered in 2003, is still R8 with 3 known.

    Baley

    I stand corrected.

Plum forgot about that one. Thanks for the wake up call.
