I'd realy like to find smoe nice 1985 Philippine coins, mint or proof sets! Thats my wife's birth year!

And some Pope John Paul commemeratives for our nephew and god son "John Paul".
  • Well congratulations on your proof sets. If they have half the eye-appeal of your bride, you've bought some dazzlers!

    Congratulations on both!

Well thanks JHF and two updates:
The person I got the 75, 76 and 78 proof sets from contacted me and just got in another 77 set so now I have that one on the way!
The same day that happened my wife text messaged me and told me that she got her papers from the U.S. Embassy in Manila and she is now scheduled to have her medical exam on May 4th and her embassy interview on May 11th.

So it looks like I will be able to go and get my wife at the end of May or beginning of June image

garsmith, when I was in Vietnam during the late 60's as part of the US Navy, we made frequent visits to the Phillipines. I always considered their women to be among the most attractive I had ever seen. Congratulations on being one step closer to having your beautiful bride by your side!image

And may the sets flow to you.

We have several friends and family members that are in Bacoloid, Negros Occidental and others that are in Negros Oriental. I am in the process of buying the land where my father in laws house is, so that Sherlene doesn't have to worry about her parents and I am also looking at the 5 hectar piece of land across for the house get get for my father in law to farm so that he doesn't have to work on someone elses farm any more!

Sherlene's aunt is looking for land for us on the beach or on one of the islands in Conception Bay, our plan is to build a home there to use when we visit once or twice a year and to have someplace to go when I retire in 20 years, or sooner if I'm lucky!
