1832 guess. Samed when I see upper end coins, a lot are 32.

    I'm going with a total guess.... 1828?
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

    .
    1807.

Actually I don't know of anything above MS66 for the 1807 but if it turns out to be the 1807 be sure and remind stman.

Edited: No cheating agreed but I was thinking that the 1812's were really well struck so they are my second choice.

I was looking at the pops last month and I think it surprised me too, it was 1807 or 1808...I'll go with 08. I would have expected a later date.

1808 is correct with a total of three, 1822 1826 1833 & 1834 each have two graded. It is surprising that such an early date tops the list.

I would have guessed 1826 as well. I remember from "A Mercenary's Guide..." that way back then in '87 HRH said that '26 was the most common date in gem, so it would seem that this date was also most available in higher grades.
