"The FDA has given approval to Berlex, Inc. (Wayne, N.J.) to market Yaz for the treatment of acne. The efficacy of Yaz was evaluated in 2 multi-center, double-blind studies involving 889 patients. Yaz significantly reduced total lesion counts. The most common adverse effects were headache, nausea, and sinusitis. Yaz is also indicated for treatment of premenstrual disorder and PMS."
