Thanks!

what is your website about? looks like a whole bunch of ads with no content.

What's hot: accurately trusted third party graded vintage cards

What's not: fakes, spammers, and modern non-star cards

So what do you collect Russell?

No content? Depends on how you look at it. It's about antiques and collectibles. It's a work in progress and it loads slow because of some of the content.

<< <i>What's hot: accurately trusted third party graded vintage cards >>

    Who's the trusted third party?

<< <i>What's not: fakes, spammers, and modern non-star cards >>

    commons? hehe

My collection is gathering dust. I haven't collected any new sports cards in almost 10 years. I got tired of all the hype and outrages prices. I collect wide variety of things including dust! ie Disney, Coins, Stamps, Autographs, Business Cards, Hot Wheels and the list goes on!

    What's not -- GAI grading.

    What's hot -- 2007 Heritage!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • Do you really sell anything of yours?

Your just wanting to know whats hot to keyword spam right?

19 ads on opening page !!!!!

You say you only get paid if someone bids on a item linked from your site. Why not just go to www.ebay.com ? Because you have the date at the top of yours? So you make pretty good money advertising ebay auctions right? 19 x what .05 =$1 a hit. Not bad. Too bad there wasnt a service involved.

not being accusatory at all, but what's your reasoning in asking what's hot or not? Do you plan on collecting sports cards again?

No, I just say that because Billy pays me too.

All kidding aside, yes I do. Only 1989 Fleer. Only the ones I need to complete a master set. A cut one (non saw) and white box. Plus the other things mentioned.

If you have some and need help identifying them just shoot me a pic as theres more than the widely preceived 6 versions.

So, does that mean you cannot get paid if one of your
    registrants sets a snipe?

Can you tell us what your site's Alexa rank is?

To the rest of the readers who think portals do not work,
I recommend that you give one or more a try. I use portals

I'm new here! I just thought I would open my mouth and stick my foot in it! No, actually I was trying to fit in. I could sit here and read everything, but its more fun to say something and get an answer back.

If I just sit here it would be like I just didn't exist!

I do have a lot of cards! It would be nice to know if I had a lot of junk or not!

Are any on these Hot or not?

    Ken Griffey Jr.
    Barry Sanders
    Bary Bonds
    Mark McGwire
    Sammy Sosa
    Beckett Football magazine #1
    89 Score Hockey
    89 Bowman Baseball
    89 Upper Deck Baseball
    89 Fleer Baseball
    88, 89, 90, 91 Topps Baseball

1975 Topps baseball cards are hot. They're the most popular set on the PSA registry.image
  • 89 Fleer is Cold. except
Johnson Marlboro Ad in background error or Treadway target over his head (lite blue cross hairs) and some FF variations.

The FF version will sell for $5-15.

Reverse nagative- The Gonzalez Donruss one? $1>

    Murphy UD- $15

    89 UD Griffey $25 ish

Errors from that time frame of big value are 90 Topps NNOF F. Thomas.

Your sets hand collated or factory?

Not familiar with FB of Hockey but the baseball from that era was mass produced. Nothing in there from my knowledge is really "Hot". But it all has a value. Ebay completed auctions will give you a idea.

This reminds me of the old Beckett Hot/Cold list

i doubt it.. his website says someone has to bid on and win an auction..

regardless, i dont see him spamming here, he just has a link in his sigline is all.. why care?..

edited to add - the google stuff may be per click, but not the ebay links..

there was no offense intended in my posts, but there's people who come here, have zero interest in posting about sports cards, just post links to Ebay to high dollar sports cards to have you use their link, not to mention there were quite a few who just lost hundreds of dollars each in being ripped off by a couple of board members either not sending them cards in trade or searching and resealing packs.

I can say from your list that Sosa and McGwire are not hot, only Barry Sanders 89 Score and PSA 10's of him do ok too, 89 score football- only Sanders, Aikman, and the other HOF or sure HOF rookies and lowest pop cards in PSA 10 do decent to good, the PSA 9's seem dead. I don't think any of the Donruss, Topps, or Bowman baseball you listed are worth anything, but others might know if there are a handful of lower pop stars or rookies that are worth saving out of those.

Well, I don't do much in post 1995 stuff, but even I can tell you the Topps Heritage sets are most definetly THE card collecting trend of the 2000s decade. Right up there with refractors/insertmania in the 1990s. As long as Topps continues to do that product well, it'll always be a staple of collecting and if nothing else of this era will hold its value in the long term, the Heritage stuff will.

As for what's not, I guess the overdoing of the 1/1's and memorbilia piece cards. They were very popular when they first came out in the late 1990s, and would continue to be if the companies had just kept them within reason. But now they've made so many, the 1/1's especially have become a joke for the most part.
