Does this look listing look photoshopped?

Help me out here. For the sake of fairness, does this pic look altered to you too? There seems to be "editing" where the print line goes through the white bottom boarder, just about where the "k" in Puckett is printed. See how the white boarder extends up into the photo only where the print line would have shown?

The scan is crap so I emailed about condition and he said NRMT-MT (BowlofDirt 11,000 feedback). Listing also says: This card is in NrMt-Mt shape, with minor, if any, wear on the corners and edges, centered, clean, well cared for, and visually stunning. Guaranteed authentic. Hardly clean and the stunning part is the obvious print line right down the middle of the card now that I have it in hand.

Seller sent this card with no other packing in a oversized bubble mailer with tape across top loader to keep card in holder. He has offered refund after he gets card back. I'm just not sure I want to eat shipping or will even get full refund. I only hope it works out in the end. Anybody out there bought from BowlofDirt?

Here is the listing pic:

If you received a card that had a visable print line that obviously takes away from the card and the print line wasn't mentioned in the listing....even if the seller is acceptable to a return...would you be happy about eating the shipping? Shipping was only $2. Am I out of line if I insist he refund shipping for the misleading listing? Print lines are very common on lesser quality examples of this card. If the scan does not show it, and I emailed the seller asking condition and he does not disclose...see where I'm going?

I know $2 is nothing but if he doctored the photo I feel like I wasted my time as there were other similar cards for sale same night that I could have opted for. What do you think? $2...just let it go?

I can see the print line in the original listing -- most noticeably on Puckett's thigh.

I don't see all the snow in the original listing....

p.s. a little not fair comparing a crappy Ebay scan to your scanner at 3x actual size....
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Just let it go. It's a crappy scan, not a doctored one. Just my dos centavos.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Yeah, these cards are commonly printed with lines close to the boarders. Never really had one with a print line through the middle so wasn't looking on the ebay scan much off the boarders.

Why is it so hard to get a good scan on a listing....

Yeah, easy to let go at $2. That seems easiest.

  • Yep, bad scan. Tried scanning through a card holder. Doesn't work if you wan't high-res pics.

agree with the others. a very poor scan. other than the print line, the card you received looks good. the corners are very nice.

    Thanks,
