  • Sorry to jack your thread here fredp23 but I'm also new. Figured I wouldn't clutter the board. I have been reading for a month or so. I am 16, live in Florida and have a pretty small collection and no PSA or SGC or anything like that because of lack of money. I basically have a few autographs and a bunch of cards but nothing of amazing value. It's just a dream of mine to have collections like you guys do.
  • lol no problem...yeah small collection here also...highlight is a willie mays autographed bat image

Comparing PSA/DNA autos listed on EBAY is a good way
to get a general idea if yours is or might be genuine.

  • You have me killed. Haha. My biggest things are: Carl Crawford OMLB, Delmon Young OMLB, Ryan Zimmerman OMLB, Andruw Jones OMLB,Jeff Francouer OMLB, Jarrod
Saltalmacchia OMLB, Andruw and Chipper Jones autographed picture together. Crawford and Young auto picture together. John Smoltz auto hat. Mike Alstott picture. Edgar
Renteria auto minor league card that I've had since I was 4 and I just got signed in person. A couple of Atl Braves lineup cards from spring training games. some Jersey cards.
And I doubt you have heard of him but Cj Hobgood (2001 world champion surfer) auto picture that I got at a local surf contest here. What can I say I'm a surfer living on the
beach so I have to have something like that haha. I also have a bunch of baseball cards but no complete sets or anything.

I got all of these in person too.
  • pretty good collection there for being young...and the cool thing is you met all the players that signed for you.

  • Yeah it helps having spring training in your back yard. I just started trying to get ttm autographs, so my thing about meeting alll the players was just ended by Randy Wolf last week. He signed my card and sent it back in 4 days, which is pretty fast from what I understand, but the Dodgers are only 45 minutes south of my house so that might have something to do with it.
Just found this card in my collection, guess I never realized what it was but it's a 1998 Magglio Ordonez Bowmans Best Chrome rookie card on the White Sox. All the corners are sharp.. just wondering if it is worth anything.

    Hi Fred

I'm clueless when it comes to sigs but I will share one tidbit with ya.

One of the auto savants of the forgery business was Greg Marino - an uninspired artist who turned his talent into a zillion fake autos from Babe Ruth to the Pope!

Now enter their so-called "authenticator of choice" - a Brooklyn, New York licensed forensic expert named Donald Frangipani. Who authenticated thousands of stuff for Marino and his band of thieves.

So, there's a lot of bad stuff out there with really, really neat looking COA's! However....

To my knowledge Mounted Memories only gets their products from their own private signings or they send one of their reps out to watch the stuff they buy being signed.
