Value of 1956 empty BB box?

Hey fella's.

Anyone have any clue what the value of a GAI 6.5 1956 5-cent baseball box (empty) should be?

    A GAI 5.5 just sold for $585. yesterday. I don't think the grade of these matter at all, so it would come down to eye appeal.I paid around that for mine and it looked pretty nice. It should go higher than the one that just closed, but you just took one bidder out of the and there was a huge gap between the winner and the underbidder.

    Griffins - Thanks. I did a search and couldn't find a single 1950's box, let alone a 1956. Was the 5.5 on ebay?

    '56 Box auction

    he had a penny box as well. I haven't seen one other than this in a year or more- the last one was in a Mastro collectors auction almost 2 years ago, and I won that one.

    I don't collect boxes but I did buy this one from Mark Murphy about 15 yrs ago.

    I like it since it has the "Mick" batting - 68T.
