GAI Pack Grading - Opinions?

I picked up some various older packs 4 or 5 years back, GAI graded.

Personally, I thought the holders were kind of shoddy, but I guess they do their job.

I'm thinking of busting the packs just for the heck of it, as I'm not much of a pack collector.

How much FAITH do you personally put into these packs being untampered?

If you got the packs 4/5 years ago, you should be ok as that is when Paul Wright was the head grader. Out of curiosity year and sport are the packs? And if you open them please share the results!! John.

Most of the wax I've seen seems authentic, but GAI has slabbed a number of grocery cellos from the early 1970s that are homemade. Murphy and Wright did most of the grading early on, with Murphy coming back for an abbreviated stint not long ago, if memory serves.

I don't trust the more expensive GAI slabbed packs - period. Not for the prices they're selling for! Way too many stories of wax stains on cards in the center of the pack, etc., for me to trust them. Anyone else can do as they please.

Looks good from the scan, but hard to be absolutely sure. Better than buying raw at least!
