How the hell did I get ripped off?

Picked up a 55 topps spahn "NM-MT" almost perfect blah blah blah. Upon receipt, card had 2 rubber band marks! I asked for refund and seller is giving me a song and dance. I figured I'd just resell it, or whatever. The cards was in a real "super" extra scratched up holder, but to the close eye I could see the rubber band marks. Asked again for a refund and no response. Just for "fun I took the card out of the holder, and it is TRIMMED also! WTF??? I have had terrible luck with ebay lately. I have returned or tried to return 5 yes FIVE items not as described. I emailed the seller again, but I need to file with paypal tomorrow. DAMN! how long do you have to file with paypal? What about fraud charges? CRAP! Only 70 bucks but STILL UGGHHH

I agree.
BUT, I am getting reports that PayPal is getting pickey
on the SNAD claims/disputes. They have allegedly been
asking buyers to submit the cards to a TPG when disputes
about condition arise.
PayPal is the child of the devil.
<< <i>Not for nothing but that card sure does look sweeeet. >>

I will just continue to stay away from it so that
there will be more of it for the rest of you folks.

Depends on the "raw" - commons raw from the 50's and 60's?...yes, some good higher grade raw can sometimes be found. Star cards raw from the 50's and 60's?...the odds are strongly against you these days, if not close to impossible, of finding higher grade raw star cards from the 50's and 60's which will grade what you think from the scan they might grade, and getting any kind of "good deal" on them. Late 60's you got a little shot of success - earlier 60's and 50's forgetaboutit - the chances are close to zero. Not too many, if any, "babes in the woods" anymore when it comes to vintage baseball cards. Even early 70's to mid-70's is getting very tough these days to find bargains on star cards raw which will grade high.
