Just think of all the money you will save collecting halves..
Perhaps math 101 is in order here. It takes 10 half dimes to make one bust half dollar.
Plus you don't have to wear glasses to see if it is really a coin you are looking at or some ant taking a nap.

He was so impressed with the old time toning that he had it professionally photographed. The color is tweaked out as a lot of these professional photographs are, so the colors are not really that abundant. However I will say the toning is electric and crusty. The electric blue on the reverse is a real eye full.
This coin probably resided in a very nice coin cabinet since the 1800's is my guess as there is no indication of the tarnish associated with careless storage.
