Top (5) Favorite Cards in Your Collection w/Scans?

Would anybody support a thread to post scans of our "Top 5 Favorite Non-Sports PSA- Graded Cards in Our Entire Collections", with scans... and maybe a total count of the number of PSA graded cards in the collection (to give an idea of how much competition there was for the 5)? It's a lot of work to count them up, do the scans, do the posts etc. - but I'd be in if a couple of you would join me.

You can even do Top 10 if you want... keeping the scans at a reasonable size.

Most of my favorite nonsports cards are raw, but here are five favs that are graded:

I sent in a few of my stooges cards and here's one:

Here's one from my registry set:

I love cereal cards, and I have a few of these:

Most of this set is raw also, but I sent a few:

And then, to me, the King of Cartoon characters:

  • Mark, I've always liked those American Beauties cards (and, no, not necessarily for the obvious reasons image). It's just a very simple design and I like the colors. I like the fact that they're square-shaped as well (or maybe I've just been looking at too many tobacco cards).

    Thanks for sharing.

American Beauties and Look 'n See both suffer from the same malady - lots and lots of centering problems. PSA doesn't mind the rough cuts, but they are brutal on centering. It's not too tough to find examples of either set in very sharp condition with o/c and m/c problems, but properly graded centered cards can get costly.

  • I love what's been posted so far, very cool to see!! Here's my current top 10 in regular holders... later on (after my next submission comes back from PSA) I'll also post my top 5 in oversized holders. These are in no particular order, and I limited myself to one per set.

I never get tired of seeing that set, Anthony. The backgrounds are so cool.
Paul, I like that Tip Top card, except it's a sticker. Was there a card set issued with it or was this a sticker-only set issued with Tip Top?

The Tip Top set is a 15 sticker set (all stickers) from New Zealand, 1977. They came in Ice Cream bars (1 per) making them even tougher in MINT condition....

  • Well, my PSA non-sport collection is pretty weak by most comparisons, but here's my five favorites anyway:

  • One can never get enough American Beauties.
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” - George Carlin
  • In the process of getting the two Toppsvault 1978 Topps Superman Blue Border Key proofs 1/1 encased. As well as getting the two Toppsvault 1970 Topps Hee Haw Test Issue cards encased. The Hee Haw are centered front and back, 4 razor corners and no spots. They are PSA 10's, but I am sure they won't be graded, only encased as a test issue. It would be sweet if they give a grade! The 1978 Topps OPC Superman/Christopher Reeve #1 PSA 9oc 1/1 is pretty cool, as well as the 1977 Topps Luke Skywalker #1 PSA 1/2. The 1977 Topps Mexican #27 PSA 8 is hard to come by as well. I like the 78 Topps OPC #58 PSA 9 1/1 as it has Supe, Lois and Jimmy on it. ANYBODY GOT A 1977 WONDERBREAD #1 LUKE SKYWALKER PSA 9 FOR SALE? jeremynbree2@bis.midco.net

    Those American Beauties are something.

There's such a classic elegance with those women vs the plastic, botoxed and artifical looks now.
