how rare are the NNOF variations?

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • The NNOF I sold for around $1 each and that seems to be the going rate. I pulled 5 or 6 in about 120 packs I bought.

Wow, history really does repeat it’s self. Anyone remember the 1988 - 1989 baseball cards. Every set had a least one error / variation.

These photo variations are only available in walmart boxes. They are so rare that most likely people have them and don't know. I have yet to see
one on ebay. Topps has done this twice now to try to stimulate the retail market. Anyone who has been out of the house knows that there
is topps series 1 at every street corner...talk about mass production!

Just my opinion but the Jeter isn't an error and neither are the NNOF's...I consider these printing errors.

Well there was one Variation up on E-Bay and I snatched it up for what now appears to be a HUGE steal. I know which cards have variations, and I have been looking at each and every auction across multiple sites to see if I can see any that look "different" than the ones I know of.

Anyway, I've been pretty happy with some of my finds on E-Bay lately. I think I've been able to get quite a few 2007 Topps items for a pretty damned good price.

Delmon Young RC Photo Variation: $47
Topps Series 1 Complete Set (Red Backs): $101
Topps Distinguished Service Set (1-20): $11.33
Topps Hobby Masters Set (1-20): $11.33
Topps Own the Game Set (1-25): $11.33
Topps Ted Williams Set (1-18): $21.00

I think that because prices aren't readily available for these cards I've been able to get them pretty cheap. In addition, everyone is so focused on the Jeter thing that there isn't a lot of demand for these insert sets yet. Aside from the HR History cards which I'm bordering on not worrying about anymore due to the absurdity of the shear numbers of them, I've got a pretty good foothold on the attainable inserts from Topps in Series 1.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

I also noticed on #306 that Topps spelled Career-"Careeavr"

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

It looks to me like Topps spent more time wondering how to make new parallels or sneak pictures of people onto existing cards rather than spend time proof-reading the text and stats on their cards. It appears as if a LARGE percentage of the cards are screwed up in this set. Whether that's the lack of names on the front of the Generation Now Inserts, the screw up with player bios on the back of cards, the screw up of the stats for the manager cards, the 1st grade level of spelling on these cards, or the yet to be discovered screw ups.

Instead of figuring out how they are going to do their "Alvaro Espinoza Base Hit History Insert Series" or their "Flavor Of The Month HR History Series" they should really look at what they are doing and fix it. NOW!!! image

  • Is it always the same number card in the Generation Now set with NNOF ? I have Howard 7,10,18 with name and 36 without.

I think so. From what I've seen online the same cards I have that don't have any name on the front don't have any names on the front online either. So now I just wonder if it's an error or not.

    Here's a link to the E-Bay auction I won.

    Delmon Young Photo Variation

Right now, this is the only variation I have seen for 2007 Topps. I'd be interested to know what to look for in the others. I just think I won't be able to get them for as cheap as I got the Delmon Young.

I have not seen any with both Name and no name on front of a specific card...I believe the NNOF cards are just errors not variations. They are only variations to how the set was designed.
I collect Seattle Pilots autographs, 1969 Topps autographs, Signed Mickey Mantle Home Run History cards and have a JC Martin collection (he was my college Baseball coach)

Mantle MMS13 variation is on the back....Correct version has 5 lines of text, while the error has only 4 lines of text
I have 1 of each from a few boxes I have bought, so do not know which printed less.
