I hate to keep complaining about ebay shipping, but dang

I won a Cincinnati Redlegs felt off of ebay. I received it in the mail today and it was folded into quarters and stuck in a envelope! What is wrong with these people?

I am going to set something heavy on it in hopes that the creases come out. Some people have no business selling on ebay.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Would it mess it up if you ran a warm iron across it ?

That is not a bad idea. I will have to give that a whirl.

Some people are just plain ignorant. The PWE debate could go on forever, but that kind of thing should have gone in a bubble mailer. Sounds like good advice from TB and Bunker. Should work just fine.

  • serious help tip here...

My buddy has a dry cleaning business and a big press in the back room for pants and shirts.

I received a collection with a couple dozen ratty old pennants with creases and was going to just toss them in the junk pile. He was over my house and asked about a 67 Red Sox Pennant that was rough, so I just gave it to him. A couple days later he came back to my house and this thing looked good as new.

He had taken out a couple stains with some solution that he uses...and then pressed it. It looked awesome.

He took the rest of the box from me and did the same with the others..they are all hanging up in his downstairs bar.

I did get a couple 87-88 Fleer Basketball sets from him for the lot...so we both made out.

It won't hurt to ask your local dry cleaner for help!!

About a week ago, I was browsing ebay. I had a couple in me. I bid on a super cheap lot of 2006 Topps Chrome for some reason know only to my Creator and John Jameson & Son. It arrived today. My address was written on the outside of a 300ct box. This is what I found when I opened it. Unbelievable. Unfreakinbelievable. I'll never get it. No padding. No filler. No nothin'.

  • I received 3 PSA cards earlier this week. Paid $8 shipping ($4 for the 1st card, $2 for ea additional). Shipped in a $1.29 bubble-mailer ($1.29 at WalMart), rubber-banded together, no cardboard, bubble-wrap or foam padding. Post office charged $3.01 to ship- no delivery confirmation, insurance, etc.

Was it in a bubble envelope? I often ship with one piece of cardboard in a bubble wrapper, but I make sure the postage is put on by hand and not run through a machine. Also the cardboard is face up in the envelope. I've never had a slab crack that way yet. Am I taking a chance? I always thought I was doing a great job shipping. Raw are always in penny, in topsleeves with 2 pieces of cardboard. I might re think it if there's a chance of cracking. Joe

I hope none of the cards were damaged; if I was you, I would've marked RETURN TO SENDER and asked for a refund. It's almost ineviable that cards shipped like that will get damaged, so why take the chance of opening it?

Ive had graded cards mailed to me in envelopes, just envelopes with a stamp on the front. The PO has all those automatic scanners, etc, that make short work of cards in holders. Frustrating too, card I needed for a set.

I did not know what I was opening when it arrived. I had forgotten about it. I knew it was card-related, but didn't know exactly what was inside. I have received and sent cards in a 300ct box. It works great for one or two graded cards or for a few cards in CS1s or top loaders.

I'm just glad it was only a few bucks. I have never owned Topps Chrome before. I just wanted the Pirates for my binder. It turned out that there are some really cool cards and most fared well in spite of the shipping.

  • I hate it when I do TONS of business with an ebay business, who overcharges on shipping EVERY single time, and then won't pay for a reholder when they cheaply pack the card and the case gets busted. Oh well. Guess they figure I'm hooked... which I am. Argh.

What I love is when you buy several cards over a few days from the same seller, but pay the first and highest shipping charge on each card, and they all get delivered in the same box.

I know its not alot of money, but $4 here and there starts to add up.

The card was secure in a bubble mailer, I was just taken aback that the packing tape was applied directly to the slab!

Ohhh. I see. I ship all my graded cards in sleeves. I also store all my graded cards in sleeves to prevent them from getting scratched. Just picky that way.
