The easiest way for a 1971 Topps Baseball eBay Seller to NOT get my business......

...............is to scan your card against a black background.

Am I the only one who cares about the centering of a card?

And the sad reality is that most eBay sellers present their cards this way! image

What about a scan with a black sharpie in the background?

But wouldn't that show the white chips on the border better??

  • I sell many 71's but use blue background to see centering.
I feel most use black to hide the centering.

I agree that blue background is the best for scanning black border cards. You can see both centering and corners this way.

The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
