I think you'll find that folks here are about 9 miles more sophisticated in their collecting efforts than saving $2 "junk silver" coins from the melting pot.
Democratic eloquence, such sophisticated conjectures crafted in such an elite form of grammatical prose should be reserved for those so esteemed as a master. Consider this: if one isn't interested in an item, then no comment is necessary.
Below is a quote from an actual member of this forum, just an example to show you that people actually look for that “stuff”. Also, who said I was selling it? Maybe you should think twice next time you attempt to show your level of sophistication.

"I need a '46 quarter to finish my birth year set. I would prefer a circulated one if someone has one in their junk silver stash. I would like it in good to fine condition if possible. I.m not looking for a high dollar peice. Thanks for any help ."
jp , i remember that guys post because I sent him a pm about the coin he was looking for.
You are right in your theory, some of out here are looking for lots of diffent coins. I know I am cause I've bought a bunch from people who posted on this forum. And I had great experience with them all..... and sure got much better coins than I might have got on the bay...
For what it's worth, this is a buy/sell/trade forum. Any coin you post here is assumed to be for sale. If it's a case of "look at this neat coin," that's what the US Coins forum is for.
Having said that, I support the use of this forum for the sale of all coins from the lowliest "junk" to the loftiest rarities. You may or you may not make a sale, but I agree that if you find an offering not to be what you need, the best thing is just to move on.

You've got 6 posts here, which means that you have contributed virtually nothing to this community - then you are defended by an eleven post old timer . I might not so eloquently suggest that you PM the poster directly (the one that was looking for the above-mentioned quarter). That being said, maybe Dennis came off a bit cranky, but there are an awful lot of cr@p posts here from people with zero time investment in the forums pushing other peoples posts down.
I suppose you already had all the answers when you posted 11 times. I am not worthy. A thousand pardons to you sir. As I stated, we all have to start somewhere and here is where I am.

you know that was just RUDE ! you can see he is a new member , you should aplogize to both people ,you post a average of 2 times a day, expert collector, did you start out like that? I mean born a expert collector? or did that take time to become a expert collector?,and did someone give you your great collection you have or did it take time to build up,buy/sell/trade to get what you have now? did you slowly build it up?? I do this as a hobby, and hobbys are suppose to be fun and yes I am not here much, I just had 2 operations and have not been here in a while, but I have been around and have read my share of crap/bashing stuff and might have have even done it , but I learned from it , this is suppose to be for the newbies who want to learn and the "experts" who want to teach, a buy/sell/trade forum. I have learned alot from the people here, and am very grateful to everyone ,I just hate seeing stuff like that this ,it was childish and it makes the newbiees think twice about getting more involved with this forum affraid of someone bashing on them. but that's JUST my opinion ........... everyone Has one .mOj
When we become the snooty folks who we detested as we started out in the hobby, perhaps it's time for a bit of soul searching. AMEN!
I'm a little confused about the Democratic eloquence statement. Isn't Bush the person who stumbles over his words? As for the coin and the post, I see nothing wrong with it. It may not be a coin that most of us would collect, but a coin none the less. If it helps another forum member than I'm all for it.
OK, let's move this process along. How much money do you want for that quarter?
Usually if you put something decent here and put a reasonable price on it, someone will buy it! Nobody likes the "make an offer" approach very much here.
