Northern Virginia here we come

So, the wife received orders to work in the US Capitol in D.C. We are Navy, but we will be living at Ft. Belvoir in Northern Virgina. We are on a very short time frame for our move. Anyone have any experience with the area? Any tips hints etc. Your help is greatly appreciated.

And to keep this on topic, any good card shows in the area?

Not sure if it is any good anymore, but there is a show In Chantilly VA this weekend. Not too far from Belvoir and it used to be a good three day show a few years back.

WELCOME!!! When you moving? I have lived in the city of Fairfax since 1985. I love the area, but there are really way too many people here. At least you get to live on base. The commute will suck for you.
The big chantilly show mention above is 3x a year, first is in March (this years is this weekend, June/July and October. www.csashows.com
Great auto list, but expensive. How the show itself is, really depends on what you collect.

We hit the road April 14th. We were warned about the traffic. Fortunately, two of the other corpsman that work were she is working, live at Ft. Belvoir as well. HOV-3 baby!!!!!

Traffic will not affect me during the week since I am a stay home dad to my 3 sons.

I will have to look into the Chantilly Show.
