It is a 1951 Topps Ringside two card panel from a 5 cent pack. The Murphy is a "scarce" shortprint from the set (although none of the cards are really scarce). To find an unripped panel with this gem in 8 is unbeliveable - there are only two panels currently graded of this pair (although there are undoubtabley others). This is the panel to which the SMR refers. I have just really gotten hooked on boxing and particularly the 1951 Topps Ringside set along with Jack Johnson items. I am always looking for folks to trade with as I need a bunch of point of sale items and a few key guys. Panels always wanted.

Can you give us a bigger scan, maybe of only the card and not the holder? Can I ask what it set you back?

Wow. Not a boxing fan, but that is a piece I can really appreciate. So long as it makes you happy, the money was worth it.
Congratulations! You now have a card that is specifically footnoted in the SMR. Unbelieveable.
