What did I miss on this DeLong PSA 2

Hi, I am completely confused on the grade I recently received back from PSA on my 1933 DeLong Gehringer PSA 2. I originally sent it in with several other vintage cards I purchased (which all got holdered), and it came back as evidence of trimming. Because it looks beautiful (PSA 6 +) I resubmitted it and it came back as a PSA 2. I know all about the dreaded wrinkle that renders PSA 9's to the lowly ranks of a 5, but what should I look for that may have dropped this to a 2. If someone could explain how to scan a card, I will do it this evening and maybe someone could spot something.

Thanks, Tom

My guess would be a minute bit of paper loss somewhere.
  • email me your .jpg of the card and I'll post the image. you can only scan the card if you have a scanner....do you have one? if not, I assume you have a digital camera and can take a close up of the card?

  • Yeah, that's what I was looking for -- either small paper loss or writing. I couldn't see either defect. I am really considering resubmitting for a review. Do I have a chance that a new grader will see card entirely different or will they just assume something must really be wrong to have been given this grade initially? What is the highest grade jump anyone has ever gotten on a review?

  • Are you referring to the White near his waist at the top of his left leg? I thought that was the clouds from the background. But I do not see the belt continue around his waist so maybe that is the problem. Does anyone have a Gehringer to verify the difference between mine and theirs? I don't remember feeling any paper loss prior to sending it in. Thanks for the scan and info.
