Shipping Frustration

I won a card from a seller yesterday. I'm also interested in several of his cards that are ending soon.
He's not a big-time seller...he looks more like a collector that is moving some doubles or unwanted cards.
I asked if I could wait until the new batch ends and pay at once. I further asked if he'd combine shipping.
He said he only combines shipping on items that end the same day.
That's ridiculous. I'll accept it if he's a big-time power seller that has hundreds of auctions a day, but this guy's got like 50 total auctions running, and I could bid on and win 20% of them.
I'm tempted to win ten auctions and pay for them individually via PayPal.
