Grades Received -- First 1959 Busch Bavarian Set

I graded one of my two Busch Bavarian Beer basketball sets (and a triple Pettit that I had). Here are my results. This is a small set in that it only has 5 cards, but a large set in that all of the cards are large (e.g., 6x4).
I find it extremely interesting that everytime I grade a new, vintage set -- everytime, the star players get one lower grade than the other ones. When I graded all my Kahn's sets ... the West and Robertson would always get a lower grade. It may be circumstantial, but the evidence is mounting that star cards are graded differently (for better or worse).
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN BOB PETTIT N/A 6
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN BOB PETTIT N/A 8
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN JOHN McCARTHY N/A 9
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN CLYDE LOVELLETTE N/A 8
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN CLIFF HAGAN N/A 8
1959 BUSCH BAVARIAN SIHUGO GREEN N/A 9
Hope all is well,
Jeff Mullen

I don't know if that is true, because, logically the stars would of been handled more because of the interest in the cards. I'd rather look at a Chamberlain than a Schlobotnik.
That does always seem to be the case, though.
