A Recent Purchase and...

something good to say.
I recently bought a few Topps cartoon art pieces from Mike Gidwitz - the same person who bought and sold the PSA 8 Wagner for 1.2 million.
Included with the items was this note...
Now that's the way to do business!

Stone,
There's just something about those guys named Mike that just yells out "NICE GUY!!". Don't you agree??
Thanks for sharing some GOOD experiences. We need more of that as of late...
There are people who have been coming here who offer very little more than whining about this, that and the other.
I attempted to off-set this spirit by posting something that I wouldn't have posted otherwise.
A note from Mike Gidwitz - the transaction went BETTER than well.
Perhaps we should talk more about that kind of stuff - but the amount of responses something like that gets is small.
We need more uptune posts and more people sharing some knowledge right now.
I think it would be good for the soul.
<< <i>Nice touch, Mike. I always like the personal touch and remember the sellers who take the time to do it. Seems like common sense to me but it eludes 95% of ebay's sellers. >>
While I haven't had anything quite that long, I've had several nice handwritten messages over the last couple of months.

I met Mike Gidwitz a couple of years ago at the National. I was sharing a booth with his half brother. He's an interesting guy to say the least and it was cool to hear about his Honus Wagner card purchase in person direct from the buyer.
Nice thank you note he sent you.
We need more goodwill in the hobby.
Regards,
Rich
