A good way to stop pack searchers at stores

My wife bought me some football cards the other day and the first pack I picked up was hard as a rock and I thought "Cool an insert all ready". What I thought was an insert was a hard piece of plastic placed between the cards.
Not every pack had the plastic insert, some did, some did not. If the cards companies would place these plastic inserts randomly in the packs, searchers would probably be detered.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

JoeStalin may have some suggestions for ya.
I'm thinking my wife told me that if they see people screwing with the cards they are told to stop.
