What's the story on 1933 Goudey's?

Some have "Big League Chewing Gum" across the bottom face of the card and some don't. I know next to nothing about the cards, not an area I've studied yet. Thanks.

Here are some scans of the cards without the Big League Chewing Gum on them.
Seems a strange way to number them also.
In a SMR issue in 2006, Mike Murray wrote an article about the 1933 Goudey set. In the article, he had the exact numbers for each series. This is what he wrote:
<< <i>Sheet 1 (cards 1-5, 25-35 & 45-52), sheet 2 (cards 6-24 & 36-40), sheet 3 (cards 41-44, 58-67, 75-79 & 92-96), sheet 4 (cards 100-105, 115-120 & 130-141), sheet 5 (53-57, 68-74 & 80-91), sheet 6 (cards 143-165 with card 144 printed twice), and sheet 7 (cards 166-189) all have the red label at the bottom of the cards that reads “Big League Chewing Gum”. >>
Sheet 1 & 2 have a lot of really tough cards to find in nice shape, and are deemed the low numbers. Cards 41-44 are really not low-numbered cards as they were in sheet 3, but most people usually refer to the low numbers with #1 to #52. There is speculation that the card stock used for the first couple of sheets was poorer...and the fact the kids were handling them for longer periods of time meant these cards are much tougher to find in high grade.

just shows that a little patience and it's OK to have poor cards till you can afford the high grade cards.
