Kansas City sent out a memo to the rest of the NFL, declaring that Trent Green is free to discuss a deal with every team in the league -- except the ones in the AFC West. But Oakland needs a veteran quarterback to be the bridge until presumptive No. 1 pick JaMarcus Russell is ready. So Kansas City's memo could easily be read as a direct message to the Raiders that the Chiefs are unwilling to deal Green to them.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher told a Nashville radio station yesterday that cornerback Pacman Jones did not notify the team when he was arrested twice last year - omissions that could allow the league to fine and suspend Jones, try to void his contract, or banish him.
