Since everyone is posting grades

I got this this morning when I got up. Great. Does anybody else see the issue here? They are hand cut cards. This is the second submission with this same issue. I just don't understand how one day they are fine and the next day they are trimmed. I'm glad I waited almost two months for this.

Send it back with a letter and/or scans of others that were graded. That is lame.

Sorry to hear that. I don't think PSA generally "gets" the 1983 Topps Foldouts. I'm still scratching my head on my last submission of those where four Schmidts sent in yielded one six, two sevens and a ten.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • I sent it on a voucher for an issue that they had with another fold out. Up until then I have had no issues with the others I have sent. It just frustrates me when we have inconsistency with the same type of cards. I have the same Morgan that came back a 4. That's why I did the submission in the first place. I guess it just started my day off bad as I got the email this morning and I had two that have been in since 1/18. One was 40 cards and the other was 1. Maybe the 40 will pop sometime soon.

Boy, that is depressing! I had a similar thing happen to me five months ago. I sent in a package with huge hopes and waited for 5 weeks to see that 1 of 20 actually were graded. The other 19 were authenticated because they were handcut.

Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
  • This is always confusing to me. How do they differentiate hand cut vs. trimmed? I think they'd essentially have the same characteristics, depending on the type of card, its original container/containment (box, perforations, sheet of cards).

What is worse is that you waited almost two months and didn't even get a grade.

Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
  • I had the almost the same thing happen today to me. I had sent in 3 1986 True Value baseball, these are perforated panels that I carefully separated but out of 3 I get two "evidence of trimming" and 1 psa-9. How can it be evidence of trimming when the perforations are still showing?? I'm confused.

  • Doesn't say much for the competence of some of PSA's graders

Anybody here that doesn't think the high $$$ cards get more time and effort put in on the grading

Just hope they have the best people evaluate the $$$ cards

Lot of financial power in the graders hands
