So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Great Gahden shot Frazier. Bobby was my idol (and every other kid in '60s Boston). He made all the other pros look like Bantams. Thanks for sharing.

An announcer once said of Orr, "The Kid can do everything but fly." Not long after, the Kid flew and proved that statement wrong.

The rookie and Harry, The B's version of "Steinbrenner".

  • I'll just SPAM away! It's too much fun. I've added over 1000 images over the last four months and they are begging to be seen. It occurs to me that those guys who complain about spamming never buy anything and really just need to get laid. They'll wind up being those crusty old men yelling things like "You kids get out of my yard!!!"

    Enjoy the pics guys!
  • Ladder,
Don't you just LOVE Bobby Orr. The guy is the epitome of cool. He's majestic. Yes, there is man-love going on...not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • I just won an auction for a McGwire negative. I really wanted it because it was from a very popular McGwire poster in the 90's (which I own, mint still rolled). Im very excited about getting it, and was wondering where would I go to get a print made from this negative? Am I correct in assuming I cant just bring it to the 1 hour photo guys?
  • McGwire,
You will want to invest in some pec12 and some lint-free cloth. Gently clean the film. Next, you can take the slide to (assuming it is 35mm) a Wolf Camera or the like. They can scan it at high resolution and record it to a disk. You can then edit the image after downloading it to your computer with any of the reputable software applications (Photoshop, Elements, Publisher, or even a free download like google's PICASA). The key is to get it debris-free BEFORE you print it. A higher-end photography store may be the ticket....or you could also send me the negative or the raw scanned file and I will edit it for you.

Speaking of which, has anyone else ever wondered if Bobby Orr is gay? I don't think he ever married, which seems strange, although that certainly doesn't prove anything. I only bring it up because he was on some ESPN show a few years ago and triggered my wife's 'gaydar'.
