Question on 70's / 80's Baseball Rip

I hadnt logged onto the boards in over a week, was on a business trip to Seattle and just now tried to go through the posts to figure out all that had transpired while I was away.

What is the best course of action for recourse if I had piad via PayPal (through my credit card I believe) for this rip? Is it to file a complaint through PayPal or through my credit card?

Forgive me if I missed something where it was previously discussed or if I am jumping the gun here. Any help would be appreciated.

At this point, probably your credit card. I believe the Paypal 45 day window has closed on this.

the credit card window could be approaching too. i filed yesterday and Visa said I had 60 days from purchase and I beat it by 4 days or so. you may want to do it soon. could try paypal so they have it on record but it'll probably be deferred or denied.

I haven't had the time to follow all the threads all the way through, so I PMed 80sJunkie this morning regarding this pack rip. Here is his reply:

Guess we're s.o.l. in getting refunds for this rip...
  • Yeah, I think we're outta luck. I tried going through AMEX but my 60 day window has closed.

Nothing's ever definite, but it seems like the 70s-80s rip could have been legit. Rereading the thread, the timing of the boxes being received and the packs sent out seems realistic. Only 80sJ knows for sure.

Here's a link to the "Late 70s-Early 80s" thread if anyone wanted to read it...
  • All I know is the best card I got from ALL the packs was an '81 Fleer Rod Carew. I intially wrote it off to bad luck but looking back on it, I'm not so sure.
  • No offense to Mr. Carew, by the way.

I paid the same day junkie asked for the payments, which was Saturday January 13th. With February only having 28 days the 60 day window would be March 14th.

The best card I got was a 79 Bench. Also my 77 pack had water damage, which some others complained about, but not all. I wrote mine off to bad luck also and I know several others left the rip with some extremely bad LUCK.

I cannot prove it, but I am sure that junkies had/has packs/boxes of the rip material from other sources. I am probably sure that the boxes junkie got came from BBCE, but did he send out the ALL packs of the boxes that came from BBCE?

    Clarified that for you.
