Need help on modern football....

I dont mess with modern football cards at all but I was in an antique store today and saw a group of those tall Gameday cards. For some reason I thought that there may be some rare ones in that set. Is that true. There was a group of about 30 cards and they were asking $15. Are there any that I should look for as being decent?

They are pretty nice cards but I woudnt say any of them are rare.

I think Gameday cards were made from 1992-1994, The 92's didnt have a subset. kinda hard to find good centered ones.

The 93's were pretty sweet looking but again centering was tough. The 93's had a black bordered subset called "gamebreakers" which is pretty cool. There are also other subsets like "second year stars" and some type of rc sub set.

The 94's were the best. Great photography, nice colors and best of all they were boarderless. No pesky centering issues. This year also had some nice subsets as well.

Out of them all I like the 94's the best but the 93 Gamebreakers subset was my favorite subset.

Last time I checked Steve Hart had some boxes of 93's and 94's at really good prices. I think the whole box was $15.00. You might want to go that route instead.

If I remember correctly these cards are worth hundreds of dollars more if they are in PGI or FGS holders compared to SGC. Is that right guys?

I dont get cards graded for the enhanced value so I wouldnt know....

Usual star cards from said years, but I would not pay 15 bucks for 30. As mowerman said, you can buy a box just as cheap

thanks for the info. They had a few modern cards that were not overpriced but I'm not familair with the gameday cards. Thought they might be worth picking up...guess not
