    Why should it? Look at who is selling it and the "grading" service.

    You're right- it looks like dried toothpaste residue. I would stay far away from that one. If it were original frost, wouldn't it also show in the crevices of the portrait? I'm clueless on the series, but to me that doesn't look natural.

    If the seller thought it would get MS-65 DMPL from PCGS wouldn't he have submitted this coin to PCGS? Greysheet bid in MS65 DMPL is $65,000.

    You may be right. Look closely at the fields right by the nose.

    I agree, there is frost on the portrait and the eagle and the wreath, but not the stars or anything else.

    I doubt if it has AF, but the image is likely tweaked to "improve" the cameo contrast.

    I think the image is tweaked to make the contrast appear stronger than it is- my guess would be that morgan might be a 64 semi-pl, or pl. So, he jacks up the grade on his own slab, and then has the stones to quote a trends price for an accurately graded piece.... truly lame...
