My prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr Labine.

The baby boomers are a little sadder today.

Now I remember why that name was so familiar to me. Quite a few years back (God, probably ten years by now) a company put out this 'Mickey Mantle Collection' of cards. They were about $15 a pack but each pack contained one vintage baseball card from the era that Mantle played in. If you were lucky, you'd pull something like a Mantle card, a Rose rookie, a Ryan rookie, etc. etc. I was never lucky enough to pull a major rookie, but I did pull a few big names. I remember having a Clem Labine card in that stack of commons that I pulled. Below are just four of the cards that I pulled, but I have a ton of other "oldies".

I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.
