Anyone bought 2007 Topps baseball yet?

I saw a bunch of blasters at Wallyworld this morning but resisted the temptation.
The only modern I have bought in the last 15 years was 3 boxes of 2006 Heritage baseball.
I don't want to start something I can't stop.

Yes, I did. I figured with the Jeter/Mantle/Bush card mania I could buy a box, recoup my money, and have all the rest of the cards for free. I hit one of the Jeters and sold it for a little less than the cost of the box - not bad. Unfortunately my scanner is broke but I also hit a 1/1 A.J. Pierzynski AllStar Jersey Nameplate card (card# INR-AJP). I wanted to post a pic.

Now that I bought a box I really like the cards. I love the black border! I'll probably end up trying to get all the Brewers & Rangers - plus a few of my other favorite players. I also want another Jeter card to keep. The set also includes a subset called Distinguished Service which is kinda cool. I got a Duke Snider & Ike Eisenhower which I like.

I rarely buy modern, but wanted a few cheap packs to rip. Went with an $11 box of 11 packs...managed to pull the Jeter in the 6 pack. I like the cool 55 lookin' Mantle homerun cards (2 of those), got an A-Rod 500th homer dealy, couple Generation Now, and one Distinguised Service (Omar Bradley) and one Josh Gibson homerun dealy.

All in all, it was money well spent. I enjoyed opening the backs. I like the look of the cards and I can flip the Jeter to recoup my $11 if I get desperate!! LOL
