Why is it everytime you want to slow your buying down..

a large crop of cards suddenly pops up on ebay that you just have to buy?

I wanted to slow down a little but I just got done winning 13 more Emmitts for my set.

I guess I'll just forget that whole "slowing down" theory

Tell me about it. Wanted to slow down on the 75 set..................................... and the #4 all time finest set is being listed about 50 cards at a time. Luckily, I've been outbid quite a bit.

I don't understand this either. I collect a handful of football sets, a baseball set, and a non sports set. I've pretty much been working on the same sets for 2+ years, with some much longer than that. I'm above 50% complete in all but 1 of the sets, and I'm above 75% complete in over half of them. Still, I am buying more cards now than I have in the last 7 years...

It's just the way it goes. I know that this situation happens to me constantly!

Especially when I'm getting close to finishing a player or smaller set and suddenly...BAM! Another great player set or cards come available that you can't resist! LOL

Good question... why??? But it's always that way.

And why does it always take so long for the high end stuff to come in? While the low end stuff arrives almost over night???

the only way that works for me is to maximize the "Items I've Won" to 60 days and put it at the top of my ebay home page. When it gets above my monthly mortgage I have somone lock me up for two months.

Seriously, the day I realized that the card you absolutely must have will be on ebay just about every month, was the day I got some discipline about what I was buying.
