"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

    Not sure.

    But, quite a bit!

    Welcome Mac!

Ya came at a bad time - the board is totally preoccupied right now with a deal that went south.

Have you checked for similar cards on ebay - past sales?

Did you pull it from a pack?

    Congratulations - that's a superb card.

I hope you like it here - don't be a stranger.
    Shoes not required.

edit: I posted this card for people to view - interesting.

Is there a L of A on the back of it from Fleer? If not, I think it might be an "aftermarket" card, where they take a printed signature, glue it to the front of the card, and sell it as a "novelty".

Can I see the back? Does it have an authentication on the back? I have never seen a cut like that in that set or a cut with that design cut out that also cover half the signature. The cut is not in the center of the card side to side. It looks like one of the novelty fake cuts some ebay sellers sell for $10.

Wow - I'm so busy right now reading - I just glanced at it.

I think you guys are right.

The cutout isn't even centered - in fact - is it a cutout or as was said - just glued to the top fo the card?

    Wow!

Can't tell if it's an after-market creation, but it's definitely not glued on. I can see the bevel and shading of the die-cut window in the card. Too bad a chunk of the L is cropped out. That is the most distinguishing featuring of his auto!
  • I agree, does not look glued on or anything. As mentioned a better scan of the front and one of the back will help.

Isn't this what they call a TRUE ONE OF ONE?
You know, it's # 4 of only 4 and 4 just happens to be Gehrig's uniform number.

  • Wolf...I believe you're correct. I cringe when I see people selling their cards this way. It makes it easy for me though as I never bid.

  • If memory serves there was a Gehrig cut sig on ebay last week that was psa/dna certified and I stopped watching at $2500 plus....
