Home Metal Detecting

I got a call from Minelab today...

If you recall my Sovereign died in the middle of Round 3 of VTHIII. I sent it off to Minelab hoping it could be fixed.
Minelab called today and said a circuit thingy on the board was fried and they would have it running and out of the shop in 3 days!!image
They also said they would give it a little tune-up and replace the old speaker with a new lighter one. image

I'm so thrilled because I really love that old machine!

As an added note... I got to get out with my new (used) Tesoro Tejon that I got from LM. The snow has melted away over the last 2 days
but I had trouble digging in many places. The ground is mud the first 2 inches but was semi-hard to frozen solid below that depth depending where I was digging.
First target I dug was a piece of trim off an old car I think. Managed to find 2 quarters, 3 pennies, 5 pulltabs, and some wire. Wasn't out long as the sun was going down and the wind was gusting around 25 MPH. The Tejon is the first detector that I've owned which requires manual ground balancing. I think I got the hang of it as I re-checked it about every 15 minutes and only had to re-adjust once.

Hope to be posting some goodies soon!

    Armed and dangerous!
  • Ditto. It'll be nice to see you back in action, John. All that rain and snow should make for some good halos and easy digging. image
