Grading at shows

There will be several companies grading at the Philly Show this weekend in Reading PA

Is there usually a long line and hours waiting time for this service ?

Another question

A lot of the material is worth $$$

Do vendors etc ever show up with side arms (legal in PA ) or is there security present ?

The lines at the major shows are usually not to long what is time consuming is getting your cards logged in and than if they have onsite grading it usually entails at least a couple of hours before you can return to the booth to get them back. As far as security goes the show itself usually has some kind of guards on site. But I personally have not seen many problems at these venues.
  • I've used SGC for on-site grading at the old philly show. If you get the cards to them early you will most likely get them back that day. I gave them my card at around noon and had it back the next morning. Have submission forms all ready to go and it should be pretty smooth. The lines are not that bad if at all. $15 bucks a pop so the cards need to be worth grading to offset this cost. Nice getting them back without the wait.

    Have fun at the show.

The only modern card I've ever graded.

I have never graded at a show, but I expect that those three would cost more than $15 apiece to grade.

Do you have to be a member to get grade at shows?
