Buying Boxes

Hey guys, I am a little confused with all this thats going on with Steve and the rips, if it turns out to be true..........ouch. Anyways whats a well know and TRUSTED vintage box seller on the internet? I am looking for a sealed 1980-81 Topps Basketball set and others like 1986 and 81 football, etc....

Wasn't sure to post this on the current topics because the other is about scamming (or at least for now it looks like scamming).

  • Gonblott, Steve Hart at BBCE is THE MOST TRUSTED seller of unopened material out there -- internet, shop, show, whatever. Everything going on in the other threads had nothing to do with Steve, it was the middle-man from these boards who was receiving the legit product from Steve and then tampering with it before sending it out to the rest of us. I would feel 100% comfortable buying from Steve Hart RIGHT NOW, nevermiund in the future.

Just so there is no confusion, it is 80sJunkie aka Gary Daggett, that is under suspicion. Not Steve Hart or the Baseball Card Exchange. It is suspected that 80sJunkie, the person putting the rips together, was buying the unopened material on our behalf from Steve, then replacing the authentic material with stuff he resealed himself.

Steve Hart has absolutely no role in this other than being the seller of authentic and untampered with product that may have been tampered with post-purchase. Steve even offered to ship the product out directly from his warehouse......which would have saved everybody a lot of stress as it turns out.

I can confidently say that you will have no problems when buying from Steve Hart and the Baseball Card Exchange. I have bought several thousands of dollars in unopened boxes over the past few years from him, and pulled many, many high dollar cards.

I hope I have made this clear.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
