My Quest for Auto'd Cards of Favre's TD receivers Update: New Cards added

Well I have mentioned this before but Arthur (aka XanaduNow) had the idea of thread so he could follow my progress.

From my research I have come up with 43 players that have caught Favre TD passes. Since Favre has taken roughly >95% of all the snaps for the Packers since early 1992 the research as been pretty easy. GregM13 is starting the same for Marino but his research is a little harder. Below is my list. If someone thinks that I am missing someone let me know. The list is pretty much in order from first TD to the newest member.

My ultimate goal is to have all of them on cards with the player in a Packer uniform. That will be the hardest part.

As of know the set will be a collectors showcase, as the set registry will not take it at the present time. They said they might once they upgrade their software. They said it is a problem to have an open ended set like this to keep up with all the cert additions. I can understand, a little disappointed but that happens.

So far only Ruvell Martin does not have a card issued. I just sent in a Sharpe and a Gado under the patch special.

Are you going for rookie cards or just any card of that player? This is a great idea for a set and I look forward to following the thread. Unfortunately, I no longer have much in the modern era but if I come across anything I'll send it to you.

favre is the answer.

tough because they will have to be obtained either in person or through the mail (TTM). some of those i dont have a know address of.

player cards that are autographed is the set that i am working on. i also have many autos on photos as well. but this set is going to be autographed cards.

This place Legends of the Field says that they have an exclusive with kitrick taylor. You might be able to contact them and have a card signed, but are there any cards of him? Maybe have him sign a favre card that shows the Bengals game?

Andre Rison is available in the 1991 proline auto set, just watch out for fakes, they came in ball point and sharpie if I remember right.

There's a guy in Wisconsin who does regular signings with Chewy, I'll see if I can find an old ad somewhere.

Here's a certified andre rison for $10, he had 2 I bought one. Looks like an early rison auto. I'm working on an auto set of all the players who played in the super bowl in new orleans. Also a tough list!

yes there are two taylors. one is a chiefs gatorade card from 88. the other is a JOGO from 95. but they are probably not easy to get.

You need a Favre on that list aswell because even though it didn't go for a TD....Favre's first NFL completion was to, you guessed it, Brett Favre for a loss of 7 yards.

Well I just had a PSA/DNA sub pop. New cards have been added to this set. On another update I was able to find a card of Kitrick Taylor. He never had a regular NFL card, there was one KC Chiefs issue. But I was able to get a JOGO CFL card of his. I also found out that he is coaching college FB as a WR coach. So I will have send off the card there. Now I will have to start my TTM part for the remaining few, and to try to get auto's of some of the other on Packer Cards.

I have also included auto'd cards of Ron Wolf and Mike Holmgren. I know they didnt catch any TD's but with out either of them noone else probably would have either.

i was able to pick up a darrell thompson auto 91 Topps the other day for $2!!!

another one down.

also have picked up some of the others that I am missing as regular cards to send off TTM.
