How many crossovers/reviews to get the bump

What is the most attempts you have done trying for a grade bump on a crossover or review? What card were you resubmitting? What about trimmed cards eventually coming back as untrimmed?

once. if it came back unholdered, I would just prepare a scan, photoshop it, make it look great, claim it was NM-MT in the tag line and sell on ebay. worked every time and then it became someone else's problem.
