another 1921 Morgan question: VAM 4 or strike doubling?

I received this coin in the mail today. It was sold as a VAM 4 but I think it's only strike doubling. (I can't take it out of the 2x2 to look at the reeding to confirm, or else it becomes mine.)

When in doubt, don't.

I can't tell for sure. It might be VAM-4 with strike doubling. I can see the 2 metal markers off the right side of the 'n'....the only way to tell for sure is to loupe if carefully, confirm the markers then check the reeding.

That's just great... instead of receiving a VAM that's very easy to distinguish when there's no strike-doubling, it has to come in like this to confuse me (which isn't hard to begin with!)
