My Jamestown silver proofs arrived yesterday with no...

certificate of authenticity. Anyone else had this happen? Do they even come with one?

Mine had a COA, that is an oversight on the part of the Mint. Not sure if they will send you one if you contact them or not.

More than likely you will have to return the coin for a replacement.

I only ordered the gold. The Proof showed up, but the uncirculateds went on backorder. I'm curious if that 500 point drop in the market along with a $14 dollar drop in gold today is stirring some sort of frenzy/panic.
As for the COA, did you look in the top lid ? Sometimes they stick there. I thought mine was missing, too. image until I put the lid back on and saw it lodged inside the outer lid .
  • I received mine without a COA as well. I called and customer service told me that they would send them out when they get them. If that wasn't enough BS to hear for the day they said they would send one as soon as it was available. Note that I still don't have my COA quite a while later.

Who really needs the COA anyway? They make so many of these I really doubt that anyone would try to counterfeit these.
  • At least the coin wasn't flopping around in the case like all of the San Francisco coins! Mine had the COA, and I was happy to see the new, smaller packaging as well - it will take up less room to store!
