Is anyone else annoyed by the second slot on PCGS boxes?

This is getting very annoying, slot two of the PCGS boxes are so tight that it is hard to remove coins. is anyone else tired of this?

I'm not gay or hairy so its above those for me. I guess if you don't deal with it every day it would not bother you.
<<Buy NGC boxes.>> All they send me is a cardboard box with cardboard inserts to seperate the holders, at least PCGS sends you a
box with your orders.

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
I personally find it annoying to put an NGC slab in a PC box and then try to get the lid to stay on, but I have been remiss in not posting about it here.

I know it sounds petty but when you deal with hundreds of coins and dozens of boxes nearly daily, believe me it gets annoying. My hope with the post is that someone from PCGS would read it and figure out why the injection molding process changed. Again if you don't deal with them it is not going to be relevant.

And yes, I noticed the second position was very tight.
I knew it would happen.

<< <i>I also find it annoying. On the other hand, it's nice to hear that I'm not the only one. I just thought I was getting a bunch of crappy boxes. BTW, I probably throw out five PCGS boxes a week, but I keep all the NGC boxes I get.

One of five boxes, one of ten? Sometimes I get PO'ed and jam a holder into that tight slot and then there's hell to pay...... "Git out the pliars, Molly, I dun it again". Rob

I don't, and haven't noticed. I wasn't meaning to demean your complaint - but I have so many coins in so many different boxes that I have grown used to nothing fitting quite right.
Neither am I gay or hairy, which is probably why those two items are so low on my list

I have been getting boxes with that problem.
Not all but about every fourth or fith box has the problem. I thought I was just lucky?
And yes, it is very annoying...................

Try prying out an NGC fatty from a PCGS box. Seemed to go in easily enough.

Yes, wouldn't we all!
Yes, I've noticed it too... but not on all boxes and not even on most of them.

It was a joke, man, Jeez. I mean, I do use Intercept Shield boxes for my slabs but....oh never mind.
Sorry - I was replying to the original question.
Actually, I'm annoyed by all the slots - the NGC box is better.
<< <i>...I'm annoyed by all the slots - the NGC box is better.
I'm annoyed that the PCGS and Intercept Shield boxes are tight for NGC slabs. Maybe I should try the NGC boxes. They look better too imo.

I've met both of you....no comment
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
As for the NGC boxes, they crack too easily and are much bigger than the PCGS boxes. If it goes in my collection it goes in a PCGS holder even if the grade gets knocked down so I don't need the NGC holder. If I have NGC then it is for sale and they stack well enough they don't need a box.

I believe I bust my graded coins out of prison when I pick one up every now and then...does that screw with the population reports???

sure does unless you are sending your slab labels back to the TPG so the pop reports can be updated. If you did that, you would be in the vast minority of collectors.

Don't send them back, I keep them with the coin. Thing is, the low grade coins I can afford aren't registry quality, inverstor quality, anything quality other than I liked it, needed it for whatever I was collecting and most importantly, could afford it. Case in point, that ef-45 ANACS CPH.10 I just got the other day.
Rob
I believe most of the slabbed coins I've picked up should never have been slabbed to begin with.

Pop REPORTS ? that is another story. We all know they are about as effective as counting trees on modern statehoods.
I am surprised someone didn't come along with the first pun I thought when I read the thread.

That's where they embed the tracking device.........
NGC has the best Box.
What I find more annoying is the potential for the slab in slot #1 to be scratched by the box if you pull the slab forward as it is being removed from the box.
