I found this a few days ago and don't quite know what it is, the stamp is cancelled with the date of November 19, 1998. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Its just an envelope, or cache, celebrating Sammy's 1998 MVP award. The canceled stamp is usually a date significant to the event, but it appears this time it is not. Mark had a great number of these type caches from the same season.

    I'd bet a nickel Sammy was named MVP on November 19, 1998.

    Not that he should have been, but that was likely the date.

    I googled it before but nothing came up. Now I see that they must have made a prediction, because he was named MVP the day after, Nov. 20th.
