For all of us "not in the know" what type of machinery is used to wizz a coin.... sure, most of us know what a coin that has been wizzed "looks" like... but what does it? some type of small buffer?

it is actually spelled WHIZZED, but any rotational device works. A grinder with a buffing wheel, a drill with a buffing pad, a dremel....
But why ???????
